Diego M. Oppenheimer

Diego is a serial entrepreneur, executive, product developer, and investor with a deep passion for data and AI. His career spans founding and scaling innovative companies, driving product development at industry giants, and shaping the future of AI through strategic investments and advisory work.

Currently, Diego provides deep advisory services to startups and scale-ups navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape. His entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding Guardrails AI and founding Algorithmia, where he served as CEO before its acquisition by DataRobot. He also served as CEO in Residence at Factory, a venture fund focused on AI investments. Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Diego led teams at Microsoft, where he helped develop key data analysis products including Excel, SQL Server, and PowerBI —foundational tools that transformed how businesses work with data.

Drawing on his extensive experience and deep involvement in the AI/ML community, Diego has applied his expertise to drive innovation and help set industry standards. As an active angel investor and advisor, he has supported numerous startups and venture funds across the AI and data ecosystem.

Diego serves or has served on the boards of several companies including Guardrails AI, BrainLogic AI, Shipyard, and Numbers Station, and acts as a strategic advisor for the MLOps Community, where he helps shape best practices and community standards in the machine learning operations space.
